Leave
A LegacyYou can leave a portion of your estate to provide a helping hand to local
people in need. A County Durham Foundation endowment fund is a long-term fund
designed to support good causes. You choose who you want to help (we can advise
you if needed) and then you leave it to us to carry out your wishes. All grants
given will be in the name of your fund and by choosing an endowment fund,
you can ensure that your legacy will help future generations to achieve their
potential. You can choose any good cause as long as it is benevolent, educational,
philanthropic or charitable. Recipients do not have to be registered charities
(you can even choose a theme or geographic area to support rather than a specific
organisation) and we guarantee that your money will only be used locally and
in accordance with your wishes.
All legacies left to County Durham Foundation are exempt from Inheritance
Tax - saving your estate 40%.
