Dig Deep for Durham and Darlington
This new campaign is aimed to get those who have been least affected by the economic crisis to think about giving something back to support those who are struggling to cope in Durham and Darlington. Amid all the closures, redundancies and repossessions, we have been very enocuraged by the fact that our donors have continued to give thruoghout this difficult period, however we haven't seen the corresponding increase that is required to meet the growing needs within the County.

Darlington Champions
Darlington Champions is an innovative programme of activity coordinated by County Durham Foundation that will have a lasting impact in Darlington. As a Darlington Champion, you join a team of business professionals and local people who are already helping make Darlington one of the most exciting places to live in the northeast.

Rural Fund
The problems faced by communities living in the countryside are masked because the poor are often living in pockets of deprivation alongside areas of affluence. Out-migration, isolation, economic decline and domestic violence are just some of the problems they face. County Durham Foundation rural fund aims to address this gap through raising funds to target support at long-term development in rural areas. We have been extremely successful in reaching and supporting a range of grass-roots, community-led projects and wish to use our expertise to help more people.

Young People And Education
County Durham Foundation aims to place a major emphasis on helping local young people during the next ten years, and to play our part in giving them a brighter future. Young people in our County still struggle against the odds, and need our help to allow them to reach their potential through offering increased access to learning opportunities and aspirational experiences.
